Field investigation visit
Field investigation campaign on the Pissouri and Armou landslides at the Southwestern part of Cyprus, with members from the University of Cyprus, the National Technical University of Athens and the Department of Geological Survey of Cyprus.
The students of the 8th semester of the National Technical University of Athens also participated.
The specific educational visit highlighted the important role of on-site geotechnical research in order to understand the failure mechanism of landslides.
The transfer of knowledge to the younger generation is certainly the springboard for a society more aware about natural hazards and the future of sustainable development.
